Dear Fellowshipper,
It is a joy to know that you are part of the family at Community
Fellowship Christian Center International. I pray that
even now you can hear my joy in your heart.
We are now moving toward the year end. As you know we have set
goals to achieve for our church; such as, honoring God and His
word, becoming more dedicated to the vision of CFCCI and making
sure our church is financially sound. I feel
many have made a concerted effort so I do express my gratitude
in this. I encourage others to come on and let us make
CFCCI the great fellowship God called it to be.
Today, I want to share a word from God that He has put on my
heart concerning loving the word of God. Many times in my
prayer and meditation times, I hear in my spirit things that I
know God wants me to speak on. “Loving the word of God” is
one such concern.
Questions: Do you love the
word of God?
Do you know how to love God’s word?
How many really know how to love God’s word?
I have found that when I ask these questions, people look at me
strange. “Of course, I love the word of God” is the answer
most frequently given. Oh, do you? Then why aren’t
you keeping it? It is so easy, I found, to say something
and really be doing something different. This is how the
devil gets to have a field day in making accusations against us.
Look at these few verses found in
John 14:21-25. Read them
and we will continue to talk.
Wow! That’s what I say when I really do not have a word to say. Wow! Jesus makes it real plain here. How can we love Him or His word when we do not keep it?
Now the key to understanding these verses is the word “keep”. The word “keep” here means “to do” the word of God. Jesus is then saying if you do not do the word of God you do not love Him (God) or God’s word since God and His word are the same. John 1:1.
Let’s make it plain: You must ask yourself if you really honor the word of God. How weighty (heavy) is it with you? How alive is the word of God in your life? Or does it go in one ear and out the other, never reaching the heart?
Great Truth – Without the word of God, the vision, concepts, patterns and ideas will not flourish and most likely perish in your life. Why? Because it is the word that makes THINGS come to LIFE. You know where I am going. John 6:63.
Look what our Lord says here. My word, that you say you love, causes things to quicken or come alive. My word or words are spiritual; they are spirit and life. Remember, you are spirit. You are also a living entity. God created you with His word; you then became a living soul. God made you just like Himself: to follow the same concept, patterns and modes of operation. You are alive because of God’s WORD. When you keep or love the word of God you cause other things in your life to come to life.
Let me touch on this just a little bit. God made you just like Himself. Because of this uniqueness only your spirit man can comprehend God. Not your soul or flesh body just your spirit. Once your spirit receives the word of God it goes into action to transform wrong teaching ending in the flesh man and Him doing right actions.
This is actually proof as to whether you have both learned and received what Paul spoke of. It is only when you hear and keep the word of God that you become alive in your spirit man. It is not an emotion but more a knowing in your “knower”. It lets you know that God and His word is real to you and because of this, you love and cherish it.
Family, once you truly keep the word of God, He begins to speak more; for He knows you really love His WORD and you love HIM. Look at John 8:26-32.
Jesus says I have many things to say to you. Saints, heroes of faith, fellowshippers, I want it all. The word I know and keep, keeps me free and if the son frees me, I am free indeed.
The bible is the mind of God: How He thinks. We always should think before we say (speak). If we get the mind of God like Christ did, then we can say what God said and get the same results. Saints, it is time.
