Question:
Has The Enemy Sidetracked You?
I know you have probably heard this
saying before: "We major on the minor
things and minor on the major things of
life." To keep the enemy from
sidetracking you, you must determine
what is primary and what is secondary.
When it comes to the things of God, our
victories and successes will come down
to what our primary focus is on. We
cannot expect God to reward us for
successes He did not call us to. It is
not always great to do what is good when
it is not God. Let me see if I can show
this point with the following
illustration.
Let's say you are employed to cater an
upcoming social event. The requested
menu is for a large hen baked with all
the trimmings. When the guests are lead
to the dining table, they discover a
turkey instead of the hen. Yes, the
turkey served is moist, juicy and most
likely great tasting, but it is not what
was asked for or ordered. Not one
person complained and everyone seemed to
be enjoying the turkey. Should you be
paid for your services?
Some 2000 years ago, Jesus, God's Son,
gave a very clear assignment to
believers. It spoke exactly what we
should be doing while here on earth.
According to Jesus, our assignment
is to proclaim the "Good News" AND
WE MISSED IT! We are not preaching
and teaching the message of the
Kingdom like we should. Yes, we
will tell people Jesus died on the
cross and that He died for our sins,
and yes this is good, but after
that, what. Ladies and Gentlemen,
we've been sidetracked.

Scripture
Reading--Matthew 28:19-20. Read also, Mark
16:15.
Matthew 19 Go ye therefore, and
teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20
Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you always, even
unto the end of the world. Amen.
Our assignment is to let
others know that Jesus is the door into the
Kingdom of God. We spend so much time
looking at the door to the Kingdom, many
people will never get the opportunity to go
through the door (Jesus) and see all that
the Kingdom contains.
I believe, and evidence has proven, that the
enemy has sidetracked us with issues of
deception to keep us admiring the door from
the outside, how beautiful it is and not see
the real beauty contained therein.
By the way, the employer of the caterer
will not pay for a turkey when he
ordered a hen. Would you? Will God?
