MOTHERS

This weekend we will celebrate Mother's Day.  My Mother recently past so this year's celebration takes on a whole new meaning for me.

Growing up, my Father taught me that all women are beautiful and he often compared them to the blooms of a flower; each one unique and different in its own strength.  The strength of the flower is in its fragrance and color.  I now understand what my Father meant by using that comparison.  He was not only speaking of its outward beauty, but a beauty that is not easily detected by the natural eye.  He was speaking of her inner beauty.

What I would like you to carry into this Mother's Day weekend is that when God created woman, she was and still is part of the overall creation.  Woman is the womb of man.  Without her, the seed has nothing to incubate in.  Women and mothers are not good ideas but God's ideas.
 Scripture Reading--1 Corinthians 15:41

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

I now know that my Mother was one of His best ideas but you probably think the same thing about your Mother and who can blame you.

Happy Mother's Day
